Sunday, August 12, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
The Knox County Quilter’s Guild annual show to be held in conjunction with the Dan Emmett Music & Arts Festival will showcase quilts and quilted items from area quilters. Last year’s show was our biggest ever with 240 items entered. We hope to top that number this year. Quilts that have not been previously displayed may be entered by any area resident. It is not required that the exhibitor has constructed the quilt. Entry forms will be available at all local quilts shops in June.
The Knox County Quilter’s Guild has once again made a beautiful quilt entitled “Tennessee Waltz” which will be given away by drawing at the end of the show. Proceeds, after expenses, will benefit Hospice of Knox County. Tickets will be available at all area quilt shops, Hospice of Knox County, and from any guild member.
The quilt show will be held at the Y.M.C.A. Sports Center, 200 West Chestnut Street, Mount Vernon, Ohio. Show hours are Friday, August 10th, 12:00 - 8:00 pm; Saturday, August 11th, 10:00 am - 8:00 pm; and Sunday, August 12th, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. The facility is handicapped accessible and admission to the show is $3.00 for adults, children free with adults.
