Call to Entry
A professionally managed advertising campaign will include statewide newspapers, radio, TV, periodicals, and event website. |
Booth Fee Schedule:
A jury fee of $10.00 must accompany your application, this is none refundable.
Booth fees are due no later than July 1, 2008, after acceptance letter is received.
Fees before March 1, 2008:
$90 for 10' x 10' space on paved surface
$165 for 10' x 20' space on paved surface
Electric service $10.00 extra
Fees after March 1, 2008:
$115 for 10' x 10' space on paved surface
$190 for 10' x 20' space on paved surface
Electric service $10.00 extra
Fees will be based on the postmark of your application.
Awards:
Awards of Excellence for body of work and booth display, Best of Show, Runner up and two honorable mentions will be awarded.
General Information and Regulations:
- All work exhibited must be original and handcrafted by the artist
- The person who created the work must show the art.
- NO buy/sell is allowed in the Art and Craft area of the Dan Emmett Festival.
- Exhibitors are able to unload directly in front of assigned booth.
- Stakes are not permitted in the paved street; weights are necessary to secure booth.
- Exhibitors will need to bring a tent for inclement weather protection.
- Applications will be reviewed by jurors recognized for excellence in their field.
- No commission will be taken on sales, information on sales tax will be sent with acceptance.
- The Dan Emmett Music & Arts Festival reserves the right to remove work which does not reflect the caliber represented by jury slides.
- All items must be listed to be sold.
- No marshmallow or rubber band guns or other such annoyance devices allowed.
- The Dan Emmett Music & Arts Festival, Inc. is not responsible for loss or damage to property of exhibiting artists.
- 75% of your booth fees will be refunded for cancellation before June 1, 2008, thereafter no refunds will be made.
Exhibitor Services
- Relief volunteers and booth runners are available to exhibitors
- Free exhibitor parking lot
- Free help with booth set-up and take-down
- Night security

To Apply
- Send 4 high quality digital photos on CD of your work for each media category entered including one photo of your booth set up. The CD should be identified with your name; CD’s will be returned by mail or at the Festival. We will not accept any CD with any type of paper label attached.
- Media categories are: ceramics, glass, jewelry, leather, fiber, wood, photography, watercolors, pastels, painting, sculpture, metal, mixed media and other.
- Provide an artist statement for promotion in the media and use on our website. (click here for info)
- Send self-addressed stamped envelope, to be used for letter of notification.
- Send your jury fee payment with your application.
- Read the On-Site Rules and Regulations
Please note any item not included as listed above with your application, your application will be returned.
Deadline for Application
May 15, 2008 for first review; thereafter applications will be reviewed until the show is full.
The Dan Emmett Music & Arts Festival reserves the right to photograph works in the Festival and to reproduce entry photos for promotion of the Dan Emmett Music and Art Festival.

The 21th annual Dan Emmett Music and Arts Festival, presented on the historic Main Street District of Mount Vernon will feature visual arts, music, dance, a quilt and a flower show. Additionally an antique and classic car show is held during the Festival with hundreds of cars on display. A fine selection of specialty foods will be offered on the Festival grounds as well as in local restaurants.
