This annual event will take place Saturday morning during the Dan Emmett Music & Arts Festival. The course starts at E. Gambier Street in downtown Mount Vernon and follows residential streets to the Kokosing Gap Trail bike path then back around to the finish line at the Dan Emmett Conference Center. The starting gun goes off at 8:30 and the course closes at 11:00 am.

Awards will be given to the top male and female runners in each age division: 18 and under; 19-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; and 65 and over.  Refreshments will be provided at the finish line.  All are invited to bring your family and spend the day taking in everything the Festival has to offer!

 The net proceeds from the annual Dan Emmett Music & Arts Festival UPI 5 Mile Run/Walk will benefit the Byron Saunders Foundation, providing Thanksgiving meals to Knox County families in need.
