Donna Snider Cloth Fiber: Donna's Designs etc, is an exciting home business offering quilted crafts lovingly MADE IN THE USA. the love of quilting and discovery of machine embroidery led me into a new and challenging business.
I have been quilting for more than 25 years and have many more years sewing experience. After retiring from "corporate America" I focused on my love of sewing. Combining a love of fabrics, quilts and quilting I began designing and creating specialty quilt items. |

Maria Perugachi Native Musical Instruments: I hand make native, wind musical instruments with bamboo such as flutes, pan-pipes, whistles, maracas that can imitate the delicate sound of rivers, waterfalls and birds.
To make these instruments the bamboo are cut into different sizes for example (pan-pipes) a type of flute made with large bamboo tubes cut into different sizes and tied together in rows of two or three.
The flutes are made with bamboo cut in various sizes with holes according to different scales or keys like E-A-C-G etc.
The maracas are made with a piece of bamboo and dried baby squash with seeds inside to make the sound like a rattle and painted with native designs and colors. |

Ruthie Lewis I hand-make greeting cards, glass jewelry, and cloth covered ponytail holders, and I hand-pour 100% soy candles. My items are created and marketed towards women and girls and I use bright feminine colors to increase their appeal. I use inexpensive, yet high-quality supplies in order to keep the process of my finished products down. This allows me to make my items accessible to younger people who find my stile fun and appealing.
As a busy mother of two girls, I find the flexibility of crafting works very well for my schedule. Although I've been selling items on etsy.com for a while, I'm just getting into selling at craft fairs, and I'm very excited to increase the public exposure to my business. I look forward to presenting my creations to the people of Mount Vernon. |
