The Date for the Public Comment session, including the festival wrap-up and planning meeting will be 7 pm on Thursday, October 1st at ThePlace@TheWoodward, 111 South Main St in downtown Mount Vernon. All are invited.

Welcome to the 22nd Annual Dan Emmett Music & Arts Festival. This year, the Dan Emmett Music & Arts Festival will begin its 23rd year of performances and activities in Downtown Mount Vernon.

The Festival is a celebration of American music commemorating Mount Vernon's own Daniel Decatur Emmett, the author and composer of many 19th century songs. Emmett's tunes, such as Dixie, Blue Tail Fly, Ole Dan Tucker, and Turkey in the Straw, bring back the nostalgia of our heritage into each of our hearts. The Festival is a showcase for the talents of musicians, artisans, and crafters from Ohio and beyond. Our featured musical group this year is Sonny Geraci & The Outsiders!
