The Banjo and Flat-Pick Guitar Contests will be held this year on Saturday, August 10th on the First-Knox South Stage.  The banjo contest will have two age categories: 17 and under, and 18 and older.  Old-time, bluegrass, and Dixieland styles will be accepted.  The flat-pick guitar contest will have three age categories: 12 and under, 13-19, and 20 and over.  These contests are open to all non-professional players.
