Friday's Features - August 14, 2015

All day Friday Paragraphs Bookstore (229 South Main Street) will be featuring their Old Tyme Toys.  Step back in time with balsa wood gliders, jacks, cat's cradle, bottle top spinners and more!  Help decorate the sidewalk outside the store with chalk, and you can make some old-fashioned chalk drawings.

The recent adult coloring book craze lets you revisit a favorite childhood pastime.  There will be coloring pages and tools available.  Come in out of the heat to sit, relax, and color.

Storytime for Toddlers - Fun begins at 10:30 a.m.

Look forward to storytime when the store comes alive!  Kids will get to interact with Miss Cherryl's stories or sing and dance with Miss Rebecca.

Book Signing with YA Author Vicki Leigh - from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Who Was...? Trivia Challenge - begins at 2:00 p.m.

Who was the author of Romeo and Juliet?  Who was the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean?  All 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders can test their knowledge and win prizes in the Who Was...? Trivia Challenge!  Teams will compete, but everyone will be a winner.

Read with Sandy! - from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Read a book with our canine friend, Sandy, a certified therapy dog.  You can bring your favorite book or choose one from our shelves.
